GymnasiumsGym 1 (Competition Gym)
Gym 1 is the original gymnasium of Memorial High School making it 50 years old. Although recent additions have enhanced the gym, you can still see and feel the design of the original building if you look in the ceiling at the rope climb hooks, or if you look onto the floor and notice that it is only eighty-four feet long.
Since it was erected, the gym has added air conditioning, a new playing surface, a roof-mounted remote control camera system and redesign of the roof twice, not to mention countless other improvements. Gym 2
Gym 2 is a "Great" practice facility. It's soft playing surface is welcomed after tournament season when are legs appear to wear down. It also host a number of Sub-Varsity games throughout the season.
Gym 3
Erected in 2005, Gym 3 is unique on the Memorial High School campus as it is the only basketball court that is 94 Feet Long. The playing surfaces in both Gym 1 and Gym 2 are only 84 Feet Long, which is part of our Home Court Advantage.
This facility gives us a quiet place to practice that is free from the normal traffic that you might expect in a high school setting. Although it is rarely used for competitions, Gym 3 does occasionally see a few games each season. |
Locker RoomsVarsity Lounge
Renovated in 2012, the "Varsity Lounge" is where the Lady Mustangs hangout when they aren't practicing. Each player has there own Mustang Red Locker complete with two locking compartments.
The lounge is also home to an array of multimedia devices highlighted by the 51" HD Plasma Television. The lounge also serves as the Varsity Film room ever since they made the switch to Krossover for handling their videos. The television is connected to a Mac Mini, so that the players can work on their assignments if they don't have to attend a teacher led tutorial. Also connected to the television is a Nintendo Wii, so that they can relax before games and in-between practices. This has proven to be a continual team-building piece that the girls love. The lounge is capped off with a sound system that can often be heard throughout the course of the day. Whether it's music, basketball, or entertainment by way of the Wii or the DVD player, this sound system is the piece that ties the lounge together. Sub-Varsity Locker Room
Renovated in 2012, the Sub-Varsity Locker Room provides storage for up to 48 Sub-Varsity athletes. Each of them has their own locker to secure their belongings.

Dr. Dish
Dr. Dish invented Court Smart Technology. Throw where you want, when you want, from anywhere on the court. It’s a basketball shooting machine that not only operates from under the basket, but also moves away from the basket to train PERIMETER shooters with game-position passes, BIGS with post-entry passes, and REBOUNDERS with precision ‘missed’ shots. Add trajectory control (bounce, chest, skip and lob passes), full-court mobility, 45 pre-loaded drills with drill chart and you're starting to understand the versatility of Dr. Dish. It's also remote controlled, battery operated, and has fingertip controls for tempo, rotation and ball speed.
The Gun 8000
The 8000 Series Gun will act as an automatic rebounder, instantly rebounding a made or missed shot and giving a direct return pass for another shot. The Gun has a timing device so you can determine the distance and the speed of your return passes. The Gun can fire up to 1800 shots per hour and has an optional computerized scoreboard that counts and displays makes, total shots and shooting percentage. It has a spot to spot programming along with the ability to upload shooting sessions to your internet.
The Dominator
The Dominator is a complete post station designed to assist teams in improving footwork, verticals, strength, balance, timing and stamina. With this system, you can make dominating the paint your #1 priority. These posts are designed to offer resistance from 10-300 lbs and have arms that can be adjusted from 7-11 feet to simulate different sized opponents. In addition, each pad swivels 45 degrees to deliver life-like post feel. The exclusive shotblocker pads teach players to finish with contact. The quick and easy set-up takes less than a minute and it is also easily taken down and stored. It's compact size allows it to roll through any standard doorway. It is great piece of versatile equipment.
